License rules by activity
| Activity | Tours that mention it | License required | Typical driver age |
|---|---|---|---|
| ATV and quad tours | 43 | 33 of 43 | 18+ |
| Jet ski tours | 14 | 8 of 14 | 16+ |

Why the rules differ
Whether you need a license depends on local law and on the operator. Off-road ATV and buggy tours on private land often only need the driver to be an adult, while tours that use public roads usually need a car license. Some places require a boating license for jet skis, while others let you ride with a guide after a briefing.
If you don’t have a license
- Book a shared ATV or buggy and ride as a passenger. Many tours price a “shared” option.
- Look for tours that say “no license required”. Our no-license tables list them by destination.
- Bring the physical card if you have one. Several operators say a photo or digital copy is not accepted.
